Marrying the Beloved

I woke up with the guidance to weave these things together for you. Please keep in mind that I am not Catholic, nor a member of any organized religion. The material that I fold together here is simple. It arrived through both dreams and synchronicities over the past few days. It is from the Mother, and it is about marrying the Beloved.

Organized religion is under the impression that they can keep captive the Divine essence that lives behind some of the translations appearing in your Bible. Those with eyes-that-see and ears-that-hear do interpret things differently.

How does one restore eyes-that-see and ears-that-hear? Through the purification of the body temple so that the Soul may be embodied once again and meet its Beloved Bridegroom in these transformational times.

It is noted that many have blindly accepted the translation that the Bride is the Church… the Christian Church, that is. This is not wholly true. The Bride resides in the Kingdom of Heaven within each individual. How could religions, created by fragmented men who have not been directly touched, hold hostage the Divine interior of humankind? And yet it seems they have. The Soul, Beauty, Grace, the Mother has been entombed here for thousands of years and is now being invited to rise within the Bridal Chamber (body) to meet Her destiny. This occurs for those who have actually prepared the way, and there is no special bypass for those who regularly attend church meetings.

The Bridegroom arrives to meet His Bride in those who actually embody and practice Love, not merely an identity or role enacted in the false world. There are many who attend church who also know these things. It is not, therefore, a condemnation of human beings, for many do perform their good works. It is calling attention to the old institutions that cannot embody the Living Truth. Only human beings are designed to directly experience this rapture and the restoration of your Original Design.

This gift is accessible to all. She is rising to meet the Spirit named in a word – Christ. Do check in with those who have directly experienced this rapture, this restoration from two to one. You still have the opportunity to remember what this wedding is truly about. The ones who spoke of this in the past were imprisoned. Do you understand why? They cannot imprison all of you if you choose to directly engage with, and marry the Truth. This is your Divine right and heritage, and cannot be trapped inside the language, or the proclamations of man-who-is-split from Soul.

THE present volume of the works of St. John of the Cross contains the explanation of the “Spiritual Canticle of the Soul and the Bridegroom Christ.” The two earlier works, the “Ascent of Mount Carmel” and the “Dark Night of the Soul,” dealt with the cleansing of the soul, the unremittant war against even the smallest imperfections standing in the way of union with God; imperfections which must be removed, partly by strict self-discipline, partly by the direct intervention of God, Who, searching “the reins and hearts” by means of heavy interior and exterior trials, purges away whatever is displeasing to Him. Although some stanzas refer to this preliminary state, the chief object of the “Spiritual Canticle” is to picture under the Biblical simile of Espousals and Matrimony the blessedness of a soul that has arrived at union with God.

“Explanation of Stanzas treating of the exercise of love between the soul and Jesus Christ its Spouse, dealing with and commenting on certain points and effects of prayer; written at the request of Mother Ann of Jesus, prioress of the Discalced Carmelite nuns of St. Joseph’s convent, Granada, 1584.”

As might be expected, the author dedicated the book to Ann of Jesus, at whose request he had written it. Thus, he began his Prologue with the following words: “Inasmuch as this canticle, Reverend Mother (Religiosa Madre), seems to have been written,” etc. A little further on he said: “The stanzas that follow, having been written under the influence of that love which proceeds from the overflowing mystical intelligence, cannot be fully explained. Indeed, I do not purpose any such thing, for my sole purpose is to throw some general light over them, since Your Reverence has asked me to do so, and since this, in my opinion too, is the better course.” And again: “I shall, however, pass over the more ordinary (effects of prayer), and treat briefly of the more extraordinary to which they are subject who, by the mercy of God, have advanced beyond the state of beginners. This I do for two reasons: the first is that much is already written concerning beginners; and the second is that I am addressing myself to Your Reverence at your own bidding; for you have received from Our Lord the grace of being led on from the elementary state and led inwards to the bosom of His divine love.” He continues thus: “I therefore trust, though I may discuss some points of scholastic theology relating to the interior commerce of the soul with God, that I am not using such language altogether in vain, and that it will be found profitable for pure spirituality. For though Your Reverence is ignorant of scholastic theology, you are by no means ignorant of mystical theology, the science of love, etc.”

A Spiritual Canticle of the Soul and the Bridegroom Christ by St. John of the Cross (1542-1591) The Canticle was composed during the long imprisonment St. John underwent at Toledo from the beginning of December 1577 till the middle of August of the following year.

And so that you might feel this more deeply, I offer the mystical poetry of St. John of the Cross exquisitely woven with the music and voice of Loreena McKennitt. Just because the patriarchy provides little-to-no definition or model for this event, it does not mean it is not real. It is more real than anything you have ever known.
