We are Everything – A Poem, because it’s the only way I can speak

Some of us just tumbled through a doorway
Don’t get me wrong
Things feel strange in this realm too
But with a different sort of soundtrack
Than the wacky circus tunes
That have always played
To keep our gaze
On center stage
I imagine those same spellbinding notes
Have bled into stations lower on the dial
Or found their way into a horror film
’cause people pay good money
To stay bound
To the round of the old

Every time I try to give voice
To this place
It feels too soon to articulate
But I just need to state
Something did happen
Something did change

vesica.ornate

I can still see the edge of the desert as I look back
Some of us have limbs and digits
Trapped inside the crossing lines of intersecting worlds
Either crying out to be heard or freezing further still
Are we there yet?
Are we then?
No
This is the beginning
This is the end

It’s disorienting, yet I feel joy
I cannot credit person, place, or thing
This song is coming from the deep
The insights, the downloads, the dreams
Are pummeling me with secrets
Like the cosmic dam just broke
And my centuries-old yoke is tumbling-twisting
Into the void below

Who were my captors? Where did they go?
How is it that I am suddenly beyond the fence?
How can I process this
With no familiar pond
And no other to peer
Or mirror upon?

Even all that came before was too much
And too challenging to bridge
To the prisoners of the linear mind
And now this?
It’s a kind of open-source not easily explained or poured
Into the meager tin cups
Of what we thought we were for
Our context just blew up into the stars
And down into the center of the Earth
And we’re not just humans anymore
We are Light that sings
We are everything

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather adapt to this –
A schizophrenic trip into the unknown
My new home
Why would I contract?
I won’t be going back
Forever trapped in the concrete
Of a thickening past

The stars must’ve finally married me
Like I’ve been asking all along
What is arrival
But learning an ancient-future song
And a willingness
To be the Light that sings
I hope you can still hear me
We are everything

  1. This is so right. What a perfect offering. “We are Light that sings”. Yes! Thank you, Eileen. I want to print this on a full wall somewhere, but I don’t have a wall….. I’ll keep it in my heart.

  2. hear hear.. deep & intense all of this (and then again light in another moment). That thickening past is sure doing it’s thing to try to get attention, I say.
Still contracting and indeed quite disorientating, but somehow underneath it all there’s a willingness and trust that the New is more expansive and less dense, even though the daily life doesn’t seem to reflect that yet.
    Thanks for this inspiring poem.

  3. Thank you for sharing your unique view as we float in pure potentiality, Katja. We are all addicted to seeing the validation “out there” before we’ll “believe.” This false reality has done a number on us as everything has been upside down. If we can consciously intend ourselves right side up, we are available to connect with All. Anchoring Source dissolves the walls of this container. Too many have believed the lies that we are sinners, undeserving, and less than the Light itself. None of this is true. It’s our path to be the Truth that sets us free.

    1. Thanx, to be my truth was always important, but is becoming more and more an absolute necessity. Somehow it used to be easier to know what my truth is. That’s part of the disorientating feeling. Part of it is deleting old/ not fitting belief systems, but that’s not the whole story.
It feels like new territory with all our old compasses/tools transformed and we don’t have the instructions, but are cheered on to discover by feeling.

  4. A springboard, surfboard, Light breaking through cement, weeds, tangles. See you Saturday for more surfing!
