Alone – A Poem

Dreamweaver, by Rassouli

Am I brave
Or bat-shit crazy?
I have yet to find the one
Who will mirror my knowing
That I am neither
While the liars
Project their opposites
Upon the canvas
Of my open heart

My only refuge to date
Is falling into that Grace
Trusting the knowing waves
That sweep me clean
Over, under and through
All that I once
So innocently
Bought as true

I forgive you
I forgive the me
That for a brief moment
Forgot the sea
